Muse and Coffee Lovers Blog Hop

I know, I already had a post today, but there is all those looming linky closures and for tomorrow I already have a post scheduled.....so what the heck, here is another one....I am combining 3 challenges here: The  Coffee Lovers Blog Hop  - organized my the fabulous Amy Tsuruta and equally fabulous  Chaitali The  Muse  - where one of the queens of CAS Shona Chambers  entices us with her beautiful card and lastly the  Kraft Journal   - where the theme is One Layer Cards. When I think coffee I always think Kraft...so that's what I went for: This was really easy to make - I used that STAMPlorations set   VIGNETTE: Eat Drink Be Merry , heat embossed on Kraft and added gold threaded twine. The little hearts are from  Paper Smooches. I was contemplating  heat  embossing in different colors, but I like the white.... Here is Shona's card:   Enjoy that coffee!

Curing the Monday Blues

I am playing again in Taheera's Monday Blues challenge . The inspiration picture she has selected has quite a masculine vibe - therefore I made a Dad's card. Dads often are under appreciated I think - so lets honor them! I used PP as background. The D@D die cut is by Lil Inkers, as is the sentiment. The scalloped border is by Neat&Tangled and i used some home made enamel dots. The stiched rectangle is a Simon Says die. I am also linkin up with  S imon Says Wednesday challenge  - anything goes and  Simon Says Monday challenge  - no rules    Enjoy your day!

It reminds me about the colored arrows in the inspiration picture - I even kept the same order of the colors. Added some sequins for extra interest. The sentiment is by TAWS as well.  Thank you all for playing with me this month! I hope last week turnout will be even better than last. An don't forget to check out the wonderful cards by this amazing DT! I am linking up this cards with  TAWS  - anything goes for February

Eyelet Birthday Card

Hi, Crafting Friends I needed a card for my daughters birthday, so what is better than combining a color challenge with something else? That something else is the eyelet challenge  over at Retro Rubber where my friend Susanne is GDT! Of course I had to play!!!!! I used the colors from this weeks  Color Throwdown . The numbers are dangling from gold threads- threaded through eyelets. The birthday die is Papertrey, as are the numbers. The happy is Paper Smooches - Sentiment sampler - my very first Paper Smooches set I bought several years ago.... We had one warm day today - 46 degrees, tomorrow night the predicted low is 1 degree - isn't that crazy??? Happy Stamping!

Snow Monster and Happy Mail

Hi Everyone, its snowing here in New Jersey! So I made a winter card for this week's Muse challenge . Marion Vagg made a real beauty this week for us to case - took me forever to think of something to do her card justice..... I decided to make a shaker card. Used my brand new stitched dies from Simon Says - made this real easy. I took that cute monster from Paper Smooches - Falling for you, stamped it onto a scrap piece of white card stock, masked it and then sprayed with Heidi Swap color spray. I lightly colored the monster (Copics) and then filled the inside of the shaker with sequins and micro beads. The sentiment is by Paper Smooches and YNS. Here is Marion's beautiful card: And here is another view of mine: I am also linking up with  Paper Smooches - anything goes Shopping our Stash - The Big Screen - this monster reminds me about the abominable snow monster in Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer CASology - Monochrome Create somethin

Make it Monday with Colour Q

Hi Everybody, just a quick post today..... I made a card for this weeks  Make it Monday over at Papertrey,  where talented  Laurie Willison shows us how to use Cover Plate dies to create stencils to be used with embossing paste. I used my favorite new embossing plate from Papertrey to make this card and the colors I took from this weeks Colour Q  challenge.  I made myself a stencil form the cover plate, smeared embossing paste over it and let it dry. I then inked it with distress inks. The die cut sentiment is Papertrey as well, the happy is by MFT as are the die cut sequins.  Hope you like it! I am also adding this card to Simon Says Wednesday challenge - add a little texture

Little Tangles and Fusion

Hi, I have a quick card for you, using all Neat & Tangled stamps and the inspiration came from the  Fusion challenge  (see inspiration picture below). I used that neat triangles stamp, inked it with distress inks and spritzed it with water, before I stamped it on water color paper. You see some of the colors are blending and it gives you a watercolor effect. I heat embossed the round HAPPY with glitzy black embossing powder. If you are wondering why the black circle - in the picture there is a lamp with a round black stem (or whatever you call that...). Added some Washi tape and enamel dots.  Challenges:  Little Tangles Seize the Birthday  - no topping for me...         Happy stamping!
