Quick and Easy Christmas Card

Hi Everybody, Quick and Easy Christmas Cards is the motto over at  Stampotique . That is just up my alley! I got myself some brand new Stampotique stamps and had to use them! I sponged the background with distress inks after masking off the sun? moon?  - one of them.... stamped the owls and added white snowy accents. The sentiment is a combination of Hero Arts and Winnie & Walter, which I modified..... Its a one layer card, therefore quick and easy :) Linking up with: SDC223: Quick and Easy Christmas Card 52CCT  - sponging  Christmas Card Challenges - anything goes Merry Monday - Birds .     Happy Stamping!

Dimension

Hi Everyone, Addicted to CAS has a really cool challenge going on at the moment. They want to see dimension on cards. There is quite a few ways to add dimension , but I thought I do it on an almost one layer card. Could have done one layer, but was too lazy to do an inlaid die cut...... I used an iStencil for this card and inked it with distress inks . The thanks is a die by  Simon Says, also inked it with distress inks. Added an enamel dot. http://www.istencils.com/store/products/27-00107-r-sc   Quite cool, how much dimension you can achieve.... And you know what - today is the last day for substantial savings at iStencil   , go and check it out..... Oh Christmas Tree!

Hi Everyone, I am back with another stenciled card. This time I used the same stencil twice, once with gold embossing paste and then with regular embossing paste. I added white splatters and the gold thread. the sentiment is by STAMPlorations, mounted with foam tape. http://www.istencils.com/store/products/4065-8-christmas-tree-1 Happy Little Stampers CAS challenge - gilding The Challenge  - Christmas Card Craftin Desert Divas : Christmas Christmas Cards all year Round  - oh Christmas Tree Make my Monday - Oh Christmas Tree Snippets Playground - use a snippet (sentiment strip) Stampin' Royalty Challenge SR#305  -  Winter Theme And here is my second card: I used the technique described by   Jennifer McGuire   this fabulous video . Happy Little Stampers Sketch Challenge

Hi Everyone, Not only is Little Stampers happy, but I am, too! I finally can make cards! It's still a little tricky, but I manage, yeahhh! I used the HLS sketch for my inspiration (see below) I used patterned paper for the background. The Christmas tree is a Papertrey Die. I cut it on card stock and fun foam. I stamped the Hero Arts Merry Christmas Tree onto my card stock tree - it fits well enough, I think. The other sentiment is by Winnie & Walter. Added those little Impression Obsession birds to brighten up my card. Also added a tiny silver bell and silver embroidery thread. She does not have a blog, but it deserves to be shown! She used PP as background

HLS CAS challenge

Hi Everyone, I hope you had a great Thanksgiving! Ours was very quiet - I still need to rest. However, I thought I should give card making a try :))) I am so behind with my holiday cards, so what better than go and make some quickies. And stencilling is the way to do it! I used Wendy Vecchi's gold embossing paste, as well as regular white one for the top star. The sentiment is by Neat&Tangled from a set I recently won. Thank you Neat&Tangled! Added some sequins.  http://www.istencils.com/store/products/22-00029 I used a stitched die from Simon Says Stamps to cut my black panel. mounted it with fun foam. And the good news - iStencil has a big sale going on  - go and get yourself some goodies! Advent Calendar

Hi Everyone,  I finally gave crafting a try! I figured I start with something that does not require much in terms of good vision, since I still feel quite handicapped in that department.... And I have gotten a lovely package from Australia - you guess right! I could not hold back any longer and needed some of Kylie Purtells ( Happy Little Stampers) lovely new stamps, although this set is from her first release. I just had to have it. Those big bold numbers are just perfect to use for a simple advent calendar. I made it for my sister, who pampered us with weekly 3 course meals throughout my period of forced inactivity.  I had those little baggies in my stash and just filled them with goodies - of course I stamped them first. I put a brad in to close them and strung them up with Bakers twine. The branch is from my garden. I liked it, with all those things growing on it.  I also glittered those acorns - also from my garden. If you are interested on how to do

Crazy Bird Canvas from the Depth of my Draft Folder.....

Hi Everyone,   Thought I pull something else out of my draft folder.....   I showed two of my four little canvasses previously. You can see them HERE and HERE . And now number three:   First I gessoed, then I stamped the bird, masked it and spritzed with Dylusion spray. Colored the bird with Copics, stamped the  bubbles  and treated them with some white highlights. Lastly I added water drops to give the background more interest.   This actually was my personal favorite. I still have one in store......   I am linking up with Ryn Tanaka's November customer gallery Craft Stamper TIMI challenge - take a stamp, anything goes

Oh Deer!

Hi my Friends,   I am not back to card making yet, but got the "brilliant " idea to search my draft folder for suitable material, since I can use my tablet, although I am still banned from the computer..... So I dug out this card, it conveniently fits the Inkspirational challenge , you can see the picture below. Sorry for the poor photo. Last year, when I made this card I didn't yet have a light box.     .    I don't remember the company from the deer stamp. It is an ancient stamp and back then I trough out the wrapper....the strip of PP is  a little left over strip by the Renke Manufaktur. The die cut leaves are Impression Obsession.       Also linking up with: Jingle Belles - Holiday leftovers (I guess it qualifies double, since not only did I use a small strip of paper, but the card is also leftover from last year ....) 4 Crafty Chicks - inspired by a Christmas song (Rudolph the red nosed reindeer) And lastly CASology - prett
