So Suzy - Eleanor Roosevelt

Hi Everyone, I am up on the So Suzy blog today with another card I made with those wonderful sentiment stamps  So Suzy  carries. this one is by  Eleanor Roosevelt : As you can see, this is a real easy card. I took the stencil and first stenciled in white pigment ink. Then I move it a smidgen and stenciled with pink ink, using more ink at the bottom than at the top, giving you an ombre effect. The sentiment was a bit difficult to read, so I added some white gel pen to the letters to make them stick out more. iStencil A strip of gold striped Washi tape on top and voila - the card is finished! Hope you liked this! Happy Stamping!

Smashed Congrats

Hi Everyone, I recently won two wonderful stamp sets from Right at Home Stamps and I finally found some time to make a card with one of the sets. I made that card for my daughter, who just got accepted into a graduate program in one of the best Universities in Munich, Germany. It was a long time dream of her to spend some time in Germany either working or now studying. She has put so much effort into achieving this and I am so happy it finally worked out for her! I am also happy I am managing to play along with Right at Home - they are celebrating their one year birthday and have a linky party going on right now - perhaps you want to join in as well? Happy Birthday Right at Home!!! So I took this cute alphabet banner set and stamped the letters in an orangey yellow. Cut them out an strung them With Bakers twine. Took my ink daubers and smashed them onto my card stock. Added sequins. Linking up with: Right at Home - One year celebration linky party Cupc

Muse Christmas Vision #54

Hi Everyone, I am back to stimulate you to pull out your Christmas supplies and play with us at the  Muse Christmas Vision! For this week I created a card with a window, using a die by Papertrey. I die cut my white card stock and then made myself a triangle onto a second piece of card stock and sponged in all sorts of colors. Added the little houses (Inkadinkadoo) and the Santa (not sure from what company it is) I did not feel it needed a sentiment, but one could certainly add one. I also die cut a piece of fun foam to elevate my card stock window. So, there are so many ways to CASE this - I am sure you'll find your own unique one!  Hope to see you at MCV ! Stamp Connection #15

Hi Everyone, Connected through our love for card making, blogging and being from Germany we (Tanja from   Little Art Cottage   and I) decided to create a monthly project within predefined requirements. We are going to show you the result every 3rd Sunday of the month and this is our ninth transatlantic get-together! And we also have a guest this month - if you don't know Aileen Ryan from Color and Sparkle , you have really been missing out on some truly awesome card making goodness! I am so happy she agreed to join us this month! Welcome Aileen! This time it was my turn to pick the requirements and I picked "alcohol inks" I used Yupo paper for this card. It is synthetic paper and the way the inks flow on this paper is just amazing! Of course I did some research on you tube.....I used brown, butterscotch and a turquoise green as my colors. First I made them flow and then I did some dropping, splattering and selective dotting.  Her is a more detailed

Ellen Hudson Mix it up

Hi Everyone, I wanted to play in the  Ellen Hudson Mix it up  challenge with my last card, but then I forgot to put something by EH on it.....So I had to make another card.....No big deal. This month the mix up is with Neat & Tangled. I took a border set by N&T and made the background stripes. I did not try to space them evenly or ink them up to the same length. I wanted it to be somewhat random. I water colored paper in the colors you see and them die cut the EH flowers. Glued them on and added splatters and sequins. The "thinking of you" sentiment is also by N&T. My color scheme I got from the current Color Throwdown  and this card also is playing in Addicted to CAS , where the cue word is stripes and in Less Is More - repetition Happy Stamping!

You're Purrfect!

Hi Everyone, I found some time to play along at the  Little Tangles  challenge. This month its an inspiration picture, which I have posted below. Used my favorite N&T set - the cute cats and had one splashing into a puddle , scaring those fish away, that it would have like to catch...The puddle/splatter is also by N&T. The cat and fish are colored with Copics, the sentiment is heat embossed.  Can you see how I got inspired? My husband and son couldn't.....
