So Suzy Mirror Image Butterflies

Hi Everybody, I decided to play with my mirror image stamp from So Suzy. And I also wanted to make a card where the stamping on the front continues to the back of the card.  Did I confuse you? In case I did - here is a better picture: My stamp supplies: Butterfly Music ,  Wings to the Soul , Mirror Image stamp I first did a trial run on a piece of scrap paper. Then I lined up my butterfly stamp with the mirror image stamp in my Misti. Inked it up and stamped several times - you need to do that in order to get a good impression on your paper. It worked! I then took another piece of scrap paper to make sure I line up the butterfly stamp accurately. If its not precise it won't look good.. Good enough. I then took some red tape (not the blue painters tape, the red is lees sticky and won't tear your paper) too mask off the card stock. Ideally you want to sponge first and then stamp, to not smudge the ink, but this is a s

Happy Birthday with Cat #6

Hi Everyone, I needed a birthday card for somebody special and I took that opportunity to play along with CASology's 5th birthday blog hop party . The theme is balloon. So here is my card: I took Big Cat #6 from Katzelkraft and colored her/him with Inktense pencils. Added the balloon (MFT) and sponged it with distress inks. Added the die cuts. You might wonder how this card is going to fit in an envelope.... No problem! It folds up - I have a lot of slightly bigger envelopes that I use for "over the edge" cards - gotta take one of those. You see a tiny bit of string peeking out at the bottom - if you pull on it, the balloon "stands up" again. A very happy birthday to CASology - to the next 5 years! Happy Stamping! Get Well with Big Cat #9

Hi Everyone, I really should use my other Katzelkraft stamps, but I could not resist to use this one again, after I realized I could lay it on its side....... This is  Big Cat #9  - if you want to see my previous card with it you can click HERE So once the cat is on its side it needs a bed. I don't have a bed stamp, but one can always doodle one. As you can see I am not an artist, but the bed is recognizable as such. A pillowy blanket, Inktense pencils and Sharpie accents and ready is a get well card! I decided to use my sewing machine to attach the sentiment. Maybe I should do more doodling..... Happy Stamping! Hi Everyone, Stampotique is having Word Up Weekend over at  Facebook  - showing cards with words on them. Well, that's most of them, right?  I used some older stamps for this card: I masked the moon, sponged with grey oxide ink and stamped the tree . The cute little squirrel  I colored with water brush pens and fuzzy cut. Added the "ground" and a strip of PP on the side. The sentiment is from  Hashtags Love how this turned out! Happy Weekend! Guest Designing for Uniko

Hi Everyone, I am so honored to be guest designing for Uniko Stamps today for their 42nd challenge ! I am sure you all know Uniko stamps - a delightful Britisch stamp company with an even more delightful owner Beverly Brown. She single handedly runs the entire company while juggling two young twin boys. A true wonder woman! But lets get back to the challenge - the theme is flowers - don't we all love them? And there is a pretty inspiration picture to go along with it: Here is my card: This is the inspiration picture: I used the pretty Happy Succulents set to make this card. I stamped it in green and water colored it in. I also added some water color to the solid succulents to give them more dimension. As you can see, the sentiment  is from the same set. I mounted the strip onto foam tape and added an enamel dot. You'll have almost the entire month to play along! See you at the Challenge !

Stampotique Challenge #278

Hi Everyone, we at Stampotique have a brand new challenge startin g - the theme is " use some kind of tape ". I used Washi tape, but you can use whatever you have at hand - painters tape, duct tape, you name it, it works! I also used the new Sealife cube from the new release. You just have to love those little sea horses! I first stenciled the background with the Repeating Bubble Swirls stencil from iStencil , which I think is just perfect for those seahorses/ I used oxide inks for that. I then stamped the seahorses and colored them with Inktense pencils. I dry embossed the background and added my seahorse panel plus some Washi tape. \ Stampotique Challenges run every TWO weeks...... Please remember you can use any stamps for our challenge and you are allowed to have 2 entries per challenge.
