You are one in a Minion

Hi Everybody, I am playing with my new release stamps from So Suzy Stamps and if you saw my release post , then you know that I love minions. Here is another one of those funny little creatures. His name is Kevin The matching sentiment you can find HERE . There was some masking involved.... I cut out a few post it notes - you can cut them all together, less work. Stamped and masked until the card was full of minions. Took a rectangular die and cut it to size. Colored with Prismacolor pencils. Matted it onto black card stock and added the heat embossed sentiment. You may know this already, but just in case you don't.... We have a new feature here at So Suzy's.  Every month one of our DT members has a birthday you get on stamp with every order free. This is Terri's birthday month and  THIS  is her stamp: This is Terri's birthday month and  THIS  is her stamp. We also have a sale going on at the moment:

Pinsights Challenge

Hi Everyone, just a very quick post. It's late already and I don't want to miss the deadline for the current Pinsights challenge over at Ellen Hutson. Made this water color background and added the die cuts and the sentiment, which are all by Ellen Hutson. Added a green thread. This is the inspiration picture: And another view of my card: Happy Stamping! Muse Christmas Visions #92

Hi Everyone, I am back with a card for  Muse Christmas Visions . Our current muse is Chriss Blagrave from Botanical Cafe . She made a delightful, almost one layer card. I could not resist taking the same stamp set - it's from Flora and Fauna to CASE her card, which you can see below: You see I took all the elements from her card, but grouped them around one wreath - this one is from MFT. Could have stamped a wreath, but was too lazy. I colored the birds with Inktense pencils and fussy cut them. Any regrets about starting too late last year with your Christmas card production? If so MCV is for you! Make a card every week and you'll be all set! See you at MCV ! Happy Stamping! Linking up with: Watercooler Wednesday - all about Christmas

So Suzy January Release

Hi Everyone, it is finally time for the fabulous great new release at So Suzy Stamps! We are celebrating with a blog hop! You may have arrived from the creative Martha from Stamp Art Papel . Isn't her card awesome?! We have sooooo many new stamps to choose from. You will be delighted! And I think, although it was a hard choice, my favorite are the new Minion stamps - there are more than the one you see on the picture. I happen to love minions (who doesn't????).  So here is one of those cheery little guys: I stamped him and colored him with Prismacolor pencils. Added white get pen accents and die cut him with a stitched circle die. I cut a second round from fun foam and glued them together.  I under layed it all with PP, stamped teh sentiment (also new release) and assembled it. And now some additional great news. We have a new feature here at So Suzy's.  Every month one of our DT members has a birthday you get on stamp wit

Upcycling some Commercial Cards

Hi Everyone, I upcycled some commercial cards. I always get a lot of cards from organizations I make donations to and I usually don't throw them out, but use them for various things - mostly to try out a card idea, use them as shims, or whatever. But this time I thought I re-purpose them into handmade cards. My stamp supplies:     Leaf Prints,   Retro Circles,   Bubble Dance Lower case alphabet , Beautiful , Sweet Spring Phrase dies ,  YOU word die set For the Birds Curious to find out how I did this? Stampotique January Challenge

Hi Everyone, we at Stampotique are in the second week of our  January challenge  - the theme is " Spots and Dots ".  I used the  Waving Spotted Monster  and colored it with water brush pens. Fussy cut him. The background I made with an iStencil and glossy embossing paste.   After it dried, I sponged lime green ink over the center dots. The sentiment is from Hashtags . I added the balloon. Stampotique Challenges run every TWO weeks...... Please remember you can use any stamps for our challenge and you are allowed to have 2 entries per challenge. From all the current months entries we will draw 2 random winners who will each win a 30.00 gift certificate on the first week of the following month. STAMPlorations Inspiration #160

Hi Everyone, its inspiration time at  STAMPlorations ! This week we are featuring Shery's stamp line  Shery Russ Designs . My stamp supplies: Snowman large , Winter Wishes die I made that card for Shery's new baby named Winter. Big CONGRATS to Shery!!!!! Of course I had to show this card on my blog. I used the large snowman stamp and Warm Winter Wishes die cut, which I did a little bit of surgery on and amputated the warm and wishes. Can't for the life of me remember where I got the welcome from..... The snow I made with a SSS stencil and embossing paste. (Shery forgive me.... tainting the STAMP card with shtuff from a different company...) Since I lost the I-dot I replaced it with an enamel dot.... From January 23 to 29, all Shery Russ Designs stamps are 15% off (no coupon needed)  Or even better use  code STAMPGIRLCORNELIA to get 20% off on all stamps, stencils, and dies on all regular- and sale-priced items in the store.
